Travel information

We are excited to welcome you to Buenos Aires! Here is some useful information, such as how to get from the airport, some areas to stay in, and how to get around the city.

There are two airports: Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza and Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery . Aeroparque is within the city, making it more convenient, but most international flights arrive at Ezeiza. There are no subways in the airport areas. We recommend not taking taxis at the entrance, but instead requesting an Uber.

The classes and parties will be held at the Carlos Gardel Theater in the Microcentro area, Monserrat neighborhood (Florida and Diagonal Norte). This entire area is full of hotels and hostels. Other nearby neighborhoods to stay in are San Telmo, Barrio Norte and Recoleta.

Almost all places accept credit cards, but if you want to have cash, you can exchange money in the theater area. We recommend bringing dollars and exchanging them for pesos here (not at the airport).

The theater is in a very central area and is very easy to reach by subway. To use public transportation, you need to get a SUBE card, which is sold at SUBE points (you can see the locations here). Uber is quite cheap, so it’s also a good option.

As in any large city in Latin America, it’s advisable to take precautions and pay attention to your belongings. Try not to display your mobile phone or camera on the street. If you travel by public transportation, carry your backpack in front of you.

We hope you enjoy your time in Buenos Aires, a beautiful city full of culture!
