This year the event is being held in Buenos Aires! But don’t worry, we will be going back to Rio in 2025.

Is the world ready for the irresistible charm of Buenos Aires? Every dancer who has experienced the city’s passion for dance agrees: Buenos Aires boasts one of the most vibrant Lindy Hop communities in all of Latin America.

We selected Buenos Aires as the host city for ILHC Latin America’s second edition for several compelling reasons.

First and foremost is the city’s lively Lindy Hop scene, which has flourished and grown into a dynamic community of passionate dancers. Buenos Aires is home to numerous dance schools, social dance venues, and enthusiastic dancers who embody the spirit of Lindy Hop with their energy and creativity.

Secondly, Buenos Aires offers a cultural richness that is unmatched. The city’s fusion of European, African, and indigenous influences creates a vibrant tapestry of music, dance, and art. This cultural diversity is reflected in the dance styles embraced by the Lindy Hop community, making Buenos Aires an ideal melting pot for dancers from diverse backgrounds to come together and celebrate their love for swing dancing.

Additionally, one of the main missions of ILHC Latin America is accessibility for dancers from diverse backgrounds, including economic accessibility for local dancers. Given the current economic challenges facing Argentina, hosting ILHC Latin America in Buenos Aires makes it easier for local dancers to participate and showcase their talents on a continental stage, fostering inclusivity and diversity within the Lindy Hop community.

In summary, Buenos Aires’ vibrant Lindy Hop community, cultural richness, and commitment to accessibility for dancers make it the perfect host city for ILHC Latin America in 2024. We invite dancers from across the continent and around the world to join us in experiencing the passion, energy, and joy of Lindy Hop in this dynamic and captivating city.
